DAY 1 : COLOMBO / AIRPORT / HABARANA


  • On arrival you will meet our tour representative and warmly Welcome you at Colombo International Airport and transfer to Habarana. Afternoon at leisure at hotel.


  •  Dinner and Overnight stay at a star class hotel at Habarana

DAY 2 : POLONNARUWA/ MINNERIYA NATIONAL PARK

  • After breakfast, proceed to Polonnaruwa for City tour. Polonnaruwa, the 2nd capital city of Sri Lanka, and a world heritage site, was built in the 11th and 12th centuries AD. Here, visit the ruins of the Royal Palace, the Gal Viharaya, where 4 splendid statues of the Buddha in 'upright', 'sedentary' and 'recumbent' postures are carved out of the rock. 


  • Afternoon proceed to the Minneriya National Park,
  • 8890 hectares of Minneriya National Park is famous for nature location and irrigation water reservoir in Sri Lanka . The park consists of mixed evergreen forest and scrub areas and is home to Sri Lanka’s favorites such as elephants, sambhur deer, colourful birds.
  • However the central feature of the park is the ancient Minneriya Tank (built by King Mahasena in 3rd century AD ). During the dry season (June to September), this tank is an incredible place to observe the elephants who come to bathe and graze on the grasses as well as the huge flocks of birds (cormorants and painted storks to name but a few) those come to fish in the shallow water. Late evening you will see picturesque scenery of sunset and more birds.

DAY 3 : SIGIRIYS / DAMBULLA / MATALE / KANDY


  • After breakfast proceed to Sirigiya and climb the rock fortress (also a world heritage site), built by King Kashapa (477-495 AD). Known as the 'Lion Rock', this citadel of unusual beauty rises 200 meters from the scrub jungle. The rock was the innermost stronghold of the 70 hectare fortified town. A moat, rampart and extensive gardens, including the famous water gardens ring the base of the rock. Visit the world renowned frescoes of the "Heavenly Maidens" of Sigiriya which are in a sheltered pocket of the rock approached by a spiral stairway. These frescoes are painted in earth pigments on plaster and marvel at the architecture of the mirror wall. And proceeds to Dambulla


  • 3rd century B.C


  • Visit the Dambulla Rock Temple. Climb up to the temple, which was donated by King Walagambahu in the 1st century BC to Buddhist monks. Dambulla is a world heritage site and is the most impressive of Sri Lanka's natural cave temples belong to the 3rd century B.C. meditation for Buddhist monks. The complex of 5 caves with over 2000 sq. meters of painted walls and ceilings are the largest area of paintings found in the world. These caves contain over 150 images of the Buddha, of which the largest is the colossal figure of the Buddha carved out of rock spanning 14 meters.Proceeds to  Matale Spice Garden.

DAY 4 : KANDY


  • After breakfast proceed to Kandy Temple of the Tooth Relic and visit Kandy City. Kandy, which is a world heritage site, was the last ancient capital of the Sri Lankan Kings and its name conjure up visions of splendour and magnificence. Many of the legends, traditions of folklores are still lovingly kept alive. You will be driven around the lake at Kandy, built by the last Sinhala King, Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe in 1798.
  • continue the Kandy city tour, including a visit to the Kandy town bazaar and Arts and Crafts Center and visit to local gem museum and lapidary follows.proceed to the Botanical Gardens at Peradeniya which were first built as a pleasure garden by a Sinhala King and extended by the British. It covers 147 acres and provides an amazing variety of trees, plants and flowers, providing a fascinating study for botanists whether professional or amateur.The evening visit to the, famous Kandy cultural show featuring traditional Sri Lankan Kandyan dancing.

DAY 5 : NUWARA ELIYA / KANDY


  • After breakfast proceed to Nuwara Eliya.Nuwara Eliya, in the heart of the hill country. The Central Highlands of Sri Lanka offer a salubrious cool climate. The mountain slopes are covered with acres and acres of tea with its fragrant aroma mingling with the fresh air. Nestled among the mist covered central hills in a cool basin Nuwara Eliya, the hill resort, resembles a little English village. Road leading to this hill station winds through miles and miles of 'green carpet' of tea bushes where tea pluckers are seen busily picking the 'bud and two leaves' that go to form the most popular brew in the world, the 'Ceylon Tea'. Sri Lanka's highest mountain, Pidurutalagala (8282ft) is located here. Nuwara Eliya also boasts one of the finest 18 hole golf courses in South Asia. In the evening return to Kandy.

DAY 6 : KANDY / PINNAWALA / COLOMBO


  • After breakfast, proceed to Pinnawela and visit the elephant orphanage. The orphanage is the home for approximately 75 elephants. Many of these elephants are babies found abandoned or orphaned in the wild and now cared for by the wildlife authorities. After watching them being fed, accompany them to the river and watch them take their daily bath.
  • Evening proceed to Colombo (History last modern capital city after 18th century A.D.) for a city tour
  • Like many capital cities in developing countries, Colombo is changing at a fast pace, however its old world charm has been retained and can still be found, like the 100 year old clock tower and several British built colonial buildings. Also to be found are the old parliament buildings, together with Hindu and Buddhist temples as well as the affluent residential areas where you will find stately homes and the Bandaranaike Memorial Conference Hall, an outright gift to Sri Lanka from the People's Republic of China.


  •  Dinner and Overnight stay at a star class hotel at Colombo 


  • After breakfast, you will be transfer to the Airport departure flight.
